Trainer
Meet Laurie
Laurie is a dedicated professional with a deep passion for pony training and development. Her expertise in the breaking and training of young hunter ponies started at a very young age. Laurie had a successful junior career showing some of the famous ponies of the 1980's and 1990's including The Hobbit, Millbrook's Sandpiper, Animal Crackers, The Debutante, and Pac Man. Laurie began breaking and training young ponies for breeder Julie Bellows of Hobbie Horse Farm to include the famous hunter pony sire, Halcyon Sir Lancelot, and Carol Lush of Mapleside Farm. Laurie's extensive time in the saddle on so many different ponies plays a vital role in ensuring that all of her ponies receive expert guidance tailored to their unique needs. Her commitment to excellence and individualized approach to each pony is what sets her apart from others.

2023 registered 1/2 Welsh medium pony gelding, born 5/27/2023.
(Friarly Master of Fashion x Cherrybrook Shelby x Halcyon Sir Lancelot).
He measures approximately 13.1 1/4H as of June 2026. Beautiful moving pony with a huge, ground-covering, balanced canter. Scope for days free jumping, which guarantees he will walk the pony hunter step. Recently Supreme Champion under both judges in the Half-Welsh at the Carolina Welsh Show June 6, 2026. He was backed as a 2-year-old, sat on a handful of times late June/July 2026, and will continue his training when it cools off.
His sire, Friarly Master of Fashion, was the 2023 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair Supreme Champion and Champion of Champions. He is an elite investment hunter pony with a pedigree that is difficult to find.

She would be a stellar addition to any breeding program as well. As of July 13 2026, she measures 13.0 1/4H at the wither, and 13.1 1/2H behind. Expected to mature just under 14.2H.
